What’s Unfolding at The Shoppe | May
at 18 Mile Creek Shoppe
There’s something deeply satisfying about the arrival of May.
The leaves are finally back on the trees, the air feels softer, and after what felt like a long, lingering winter - we made it through! There’s a sense that we can step outside again, breathe a little deeper, and return to the rhythms that only this season brings.
Spring invites us outside again. Into the light, into nature, into longer days spent walking, gathering, and simply being. And with that return of light comes a return of energy; the kind that nudges us to begin again, to take action on the ideas we’ve been holding onto through the colder months.
At The Shoppe at 18 Mile Creek, this season feels like a reawakening. A time to move, to create, and to follow through on what’s been quietly growing beneath the surface.
Below is a glimpse of what’s unfolding this May.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Well, we made it to Spring! It’s funny how winter can feel like it stretches on forever, and then suddenly spring arrives and everything begins to move too quickly. I find myself wanting to soak up every bit of this season and excited to spend days outside again… Speaking of - I know many of you (myself included) have been eagerly awaiting the greenhouse events and all the plans we’ve been sharing. Well, as life sometimes goes, we are still waiting for its availability due to circumstances out of our control… I’ll be honest, waiting is not my strongest suit, but I’m holding onto a hopeful outlook that we’ll be welcoming you into those greenhouse gatherings very soon. And if there’s one thing I know, it’s that the energy you all bring into the shoppe has a way of moving things forward.
In the meantime, there’s so much happening here. We’ve welcomed a number of new artisans into the shoppe, and we’ve begun creating some of our own products, including refillable items we’re really excited to share with you (more on that below).
As always, thank you for supporting small businesses, local makers, and spaces built with intention and care. I’m so grateful you’re here!
XO
Caroline
